This argument was base totally on opinions so I dont think anyone wins or looses because both go away still having the same opinion. And I think both guys have made very good points that should not be rubbished.
There are a lot of people in the world who's Role models or heros are parents or teachers and others whos are sports persons or celebrities. But the thing behind it is that everyone who actually has a role model or a hero has one for there own personal reasons that no other person in the world can change that or tarnish it nor should they try.
I have a few Role models and heros for various reasons some are teachers some are sports personalities and others are family members and it is possible to have many as there are many reasons for this.
For example....My father is NOT a role model to me or a hero. He was whilst I grew up and still is now that I am a Father an alcoholic who beat up my mother. He was jobless, had no work ethic, no commitment to anything and no passions or hobbies to do anything he wanted. Now my Mother on the other hand is a Role model and a hero to me as she had to and did extremely well to deal with my father and bring up two sons....
Tiger Woods is a professional golfer and has made a crap load of money to date. But just because he has money doesnt make him less of a role model to some people around the world.
For example, Tiger has made lots of money and is the greatest golfer in the world Yes...but how did he acheive this hard work, dedication and commitment to acheiving what he wanted as a kid....he didnt actually buy the title of being worlds greatest golfer, he has worked to it.( if you could buy it then I'm sure there are lots of people who have money who might condsider it).......Tiger was a young kid who grew up like many kids from very humble beginnings and with problems like a lot of other kids and has come through it all to get where he is and in my opinion that is a great thing. A great thing....and there are lots of kids around the world who may see him as a role model and try to emmulate his work ethic and commitment to do what they want ( not just in golf but any sport or field).
But like I said this is all based on opinions, personal feelings and personal experiences. And Nothing more.
Cheers
