What was the most impressive about this win is the way Tiger played. I have watched almost every tournament he's played in from the US amateur and up, and frankly, I think the last round in this tournament was probably his finest. He could have easily shot 61. He kept taking it up a notch each time one of the opponents got close. I think he hit virtually evey fairway and green and the drive on 18, under the circumstances was probably one of the top 10 I've ever seen. On a 480 yard hole, he was left with 119 yards to the pin-and by the way he got no bounce or roll on the drive.
Clearly he wanted to win, and when Tiger wants to win, he usually does. What was great was the way Sticker and Baddeley kept pressing him-the more they pressed the better Tiger played.
Every time the man puts a stick in the ground we're watching history in the making. He is the best of all time and when he finally does hang it up-I'm not sure anyone will ever catch him. As an athlete-I've never seen any of the great ones in other sports capable of performing at this level and consistenly able to take it up a notch to win.
How good is Tiger Woods-we might never know until someone presses him to the wall and forces him to shoot some magical number-like 58 or 59 in the last round of the Masters.
