    Tiger's wedges...

Does anyone know which Tiger wedge it is that is bronze and looks all rusted and beat up?  Is that his 56 or his 60?

    Re: Tiger's wedges...

it's the 60º. his 56º wedge is the same Pro Combo sand wedge he's had for a while.

believe it or not, the one he had at the US Open was a brand new wedge that Nike hasn't even released yet from the Victory Red line of clubs. it was previously a 60º SV Tour wedge.

the reason it looks so beat up is because they take the chrome finish off so it quickly oxidizes and rusts. lots of professionals believe this gives them more spin.

Chad Campbell has all of his clubs in a raw finish.

maybe that's why phil mickelson went to five wedges during the u.s. open. he was afraid tiger might hit him up for one of themStick out tongue

seriously, i dunno why you would want to generate more spin, not knowing how much spin you'll be able to generate. are there that many front pin locations on tour?
