    Highlights of 2008

Now that the season is pretty much over I was wondering what you guys highlights have been.

My top 5 are as follows :

    2. Tigers putt to win the Bay Hill Invitational

    3. Phil Mickelson Shot from the trees to win the Colonial

    4. Antony Kim emerging as a great new player

    5. Tiger Woods come back against J.B.Holmes in the WGC Matchplay.

There have been so many memorable highlights in 2008.  But i'm so ready for Tiger to return...I'm going with EVERYTHING Tiger did in 2008...even his missed shots and losses.

    Tiger come back!!!!!

    1.  Padraig winning the PGA.  His tee shot and putt on 17 and then his putt on 18 to seal it.  Being there made it that much better.  A true Tiger-esque performance with all the red in two round in one day.

    2.  Eldrick and Rocco at the US Open.  I can't pick a moment from it, the whole thing, the battle, the way they both fought like mad to win that tournament and the way Rocco didn't fold like a cheap tent on Monday.  (And a close second it is.)

    3.  Boo riding the donkey off the tee and the Ryder Cup.

    4.  The Shark at the Open and Padraig going Padraig.  That approach on 17 was incredible.

    5.  The Serge's approach shot on the playoff at the Player's, even though the man drives me batty.

Padraigs shot at 17 was certainly very good, but I don't think it was exactly what he intended.

Of course it wasn't.  Then it'd be like admitting someone other than Tiger did something that normally only Tiger does.

Okay its just if you consider the situation he was in it just seems unlikely that he would have aimed straight at the flag and tried to hit to two feet. Also when you look at the shot and the way it bounced up the green and over those hills its exactly the type of shot where he could have been aiming for the center of the green and it just took the right bounces and ended up stone dead.

And it doesn't at all cross your mind that happens to Tiger on occasion?  It was an incredible shot, give him his due.  The only guy that rips everyone's heart out when it already appears his win is inevitable is out with a bum knee right now.

Of course it happens to Tiger at times, 17th at Torrey Pines for a start. Also I did say its a very good shot, I think that counts as giving him his due.

And what would you have said if it was a Tiger shot?  That shot by Harrington sent a message to the entire field, one that Tiger sends all the time, "I don't care if I'm going to win.  I'm gonna beat your brains in."  That's why it's so memorable.  An incredible shot and something we normally only see from one guy.

Villegas is the only reason I'm even watching the PGA tour.  He is handsome, flashy and a fantastic player!

I can't wait for him to play TW in the last round paired because they are 1st and 2nd.  Zip it!

I can't deal with his hat.  But other than that I like that cat too.

If Villegas keeps playing the way he does/has...he's going to be a BIG draw for the tour...even moreso than Anthony Kim in my opinion.  Both Villegas and AK are great players, but AK doesn't have that flair about him.  Plus Villegas appears more intimidating...he'd be much better paired with Tiger in the future for a showdown.
