I was absolutely incensed today by a suggestion from a golfer that Tiger let Mike Weir win in the match play on Sunday.  How incredibly insane that someone could concoct or imagine Tiger handing a hollow victory to Mike Weir.  Mike Weir beat Tiger Woods on Sunday period.  Don't get me wrong--I'm a Tiger fan.  But, not for one minute, or even one single second am I going to contemplate whether Tiger purposely missed a putt, or drove a ball into the hazard--for the good of the game!  That's a load of crap!  Mike Weir's awesome accomplishment shouldn't be tarnished by the conjecture of some mindless fan(s) out there with this belief.  Let me say this:  If Tiger lost on purpose; wouldn't Tiger then be cheating us (his fans) by giving less than 100% effort?  And, what about Mike Weir; did he not Birdie 17, and take a three hole lead on the front 9?  Regardless, of what is good for the game, or Canada, or Mike Weir; Tiger Woods is the standard for excellence in professional sports--bar none.  Any attempt to tarnish his reputation, or add false success to Mike Weir's game is atrocious and irresponsible!
