I'm certainly in the camp of giving Retief a pass on his comment.   Goodness, we all are aware of how Tiger's comments are skewed.... ie, the "nobody watches hockey" comment......   But I do find the comments that Tiger was faking really interesting.   Faking what??? the grimace, the limp.  He would be faking to make an excuse for something.   He didn't quit.... he played his heart out.... he admitted it hurt and the knee was sore, but we didn't know the extent of his injury during the tournament.   In my humble opinion he often tried to "muscle" through the pain.   My question would be, why the secrecy?... was there a psycological edge to keeping everyone in the dark,  would someone have been able to outplay him if they knew he was playing with a torn ACL or stress fractures???  I think everyone did try to outplay him. 

Just as an aside..... as your Fan From DC.... I would love to see Tiger at the AT&T.... even just at the Trophy Ceremony.  But I will defer to the over riding sentiment that he should follow Doctors orders and stay put!!!!
