Tiger is not a bad example for children. Tiger happens to be an example of how our society places such vast importance on individualism. Tiger has such a competitive spirit, that he gets himself into a "zone" much like that of Michael Jordan, or Wayne Gretzky. Tiger is dominanting his generation, and will likely end up the winningest player ever, he has distractions like Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus never could have dreamed of. During competition Tiger (nor other players for that matter) should not be looked down upon for ignoring cameras, fans, or kids. However, during down times players could use their fame and influence for the benefit of children (i.e. The Tiger Woods Foundation).
Let's face it, your username says it all. You have old fashioned values, and think Tiger should rush home to Elin who would be waiting for him with a nice dress and pearls on. Of course, his scotch would already be poured for him, and Sam Alexis would be taught that she was to be seen and not heard. Arnold Palmer was a wonderful golfer IN HIS TIME, this is Tiger's era. Please stop trying to make Tiger conform to a standard that has long been forgotten.
As far as Tiger getting a penalty for slamming a wedge, I would prefer a slammed wedge to Steroid Allegations, Dog Fighting Scandals, Crooked Referees, and Betting Rings. Honestly, you have nothing to go on other than the fact that your daughter was upset that you failed at getting her an autograph.
